The Institutional Account is built for campuses and organizations that need seamless, equitable access to Docunight across students, faculty, staff, and researchers. Access works on and off campus via your existing identity provider, so your community can watch from anywhere.
We support single sign-on via SAML / Shibboleth for secure, campus-wide authentication. Users sign in with their institutional credentials—no per-user licensing or individual Docunight accounts are required.
Our team works with your IT to establish trust with your Identity Provider (IdP). We share service provider (SP) metadata and accept your IdP metadata to complete the configuration. Typical SAML attributes include name, email, and affiliation. We also support common IdPs such as Shibboleth, Azure AD, and Okta.
Campus-wide streaming with access to all films in Docunight’s collection for the duration of the subscription year. New titles added during your active term are included automatically. Administrative support for onboarding and SSO is included.
Institutional subscriptions are annual and aligned to the calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Invoices are issued on an annual basis to match this term.
Ideal for courses and seminars, library programming, research groups, and institution-hosted events, subject to content rights. The unlimited-seats model removes barriers for fluctuating enrollment and community participation.
Onboarding is straightforward: 1) share your IdP metadata and technical contact; 2) confirm domains and authorized administrators; 3) we exchange test assertions and finalize SSO; 4) your community goes live.
We follow standard accessibility and privacy practices. If your institution requires specific documentation (e.g., SSO metadata, data handling, or accessibility statements), we can provide it during onboarding.
