Makez Rikweda

Makez is a London-based writer and filmmaker. She has produced and directed films, shows and content for a range of brands and clients including Adobe, Nowness, France 24, Al Jazeera English, China Global Television Network, Associated Press, ITN productions, Models Own, BBC and Sky News. Most recently, Makez directed a stylistic short film about a British Afghan bride’s anxieties on her wedding day for a well-known digital platform and has just completed production on her first narrative fiction short, Fat Girl, which is set for festival release in 2022.
